“Dhammañca vo, bhikkhave, desessāmi adhammañca. Taṁ suṇātha …pe… katamo ca, bhikkhave, adhammo? Micchādiṭṭhi …pe… micchāvimutti— ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, adhammo. Katamo ca, bhikkhave, dhammo? Sammādiṭṭhi …pe… sammāvimutti— ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, dhammo”ti.

katamo ca, bhikkhave, adhammo?

And what is not the teaching?

Micchādiṭṭhi …pe… micchāvimutti—

Wrong view, wrong purpose, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, wrong immersion, wrong knowledge, and wrong freedom.

ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, adhammo.

This is called what is not the teaching.

Katamo ca, bhikkhave, dhammo?

And what is the teaching?

Sammādiṭṭhi …pe… sammāvimutti—

Right view, right purpose, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right immersion, right knowledge, and right freedom.

ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, dhammo”ti.

This is called the teaching.”
