"Addhamidaṁ, bhikkhave, lābhānaṁ yadidaṁ āraññikattan"ti.

“Bhikkhus, this is certainly a type of |gain::benefit, profit [lābha]|—namely, the practice of dwelling in the forest.“

"Addhamidaṁ, bhikkhave, lābhānaṁ yadidaṁ piṇḍapātikattan"ti.

“Bhikkhus, this is certainly a type of gain—namely, the practice of living on alms food.“

"Addhamidaṁ, bhikkhave, lābhānaṁ yadidaṁ paṁsukūlikattan"ti.

“Bhikkhus, this is certainly a type of gain—namely, the practice of wearing rag robes.“

"Addhamidaṁ, bhikkhave, lābhānaṁ yadidaṁ tecīvarikattan"ti.

“Bhikkhus, this is certainly a type of gain—namely, the practice of having just three robes.“

“Bhikkhus, this is certainly a type of gain—namely, speaking on the |Dhamma::teachings of the Buddha that point to the nature of reality, the ultimate truth [dhamma]|.“

“Bhikkhus, this is certainly a type of gain—namely, being an upholder of the |Vinaya::code of monastic discipline rules, training [vinaya]|.“

“Bhikkhus, this is certainly a type of gain—namely, being deeply learned.“

“Bhikkhus, this is certainly a type of gain—namely, being |firm::stable, stationary, without craving [thāvara]|.“
