The Buddha teaches on the seven awakening factors regarding arisen (2nd), guiding mendicants to develop mindfulness through equanimity for the ending of defilements.

SN 46.10 Arisen (2nd)

“Sattime, bhikkhave, bojjhaṅgā bhāvitā bahulīkatā anuppannā uppajjanti, nāññatra sugatavinayā. Katame satta? Satisambojjhaṅgo …pe… upekkhāsambojjhaṅgo ime kho, bhikkhave, satta bojjhaṅgā bhāvitā bahulīkatā anuppannā uppajjanti, nāññatra sugatavinayā”ti.

Dasamaṁ.

Pabbatavaggo paṭhamo.

Tassuddānaṁ

Himavantaṁ kāyaṁ sīlaṁ,
vatthaṁ bhikkhu ca kuṇḍali;
Kūṭañca upavānañca,
uppannā apare duveti.

Satisambojjhaṅgo …pe… upekkhāsambojjhaṅgo

The awakening factors of mindfulness, investigation of principles, energy, rapture, tranquility, immersion, and equanimity.

ime kho, bhikkhave, satta bojjhaṅgā bhāvitā bahulīkatā anuppannā uppajjanti, nāññatra sugatavinayā”ti.

These seven awakening factors don’t arise to be developed and cultivated apart from the Holy One’s training.”
