The Buddha teaches on the six sense bases regarding the exterior as not-self, guiding disciples toward discernment of sense experience and release from clinging.

SN 35.227 The Exterior as Not-Self -

“Rūpā, bhikkhave, anattā. Saddāgandhārasāphoṭṭhabbādhammā anattā.

Evaṁ passaṁ …pe… nāparaṁ itthattāyāti pajānātī”ti.

Saṭṭhipeyyālo samatto.

Tassuddānaṁ

Chandenaṭṭhārasa honti,
atītena ca dve nava;
Yadaniccāṭṭhārasa vuttā,
tayo ajjhattabāhirā;
Peyyālo saṭṭhiko vutto,
buddhenādiccabandhunāti.

Suttantāni saṭṭhi.
