The Buddha presents a repeated teaching on the six internal and external sense bases regarding the interior and what’s not-self in the three times in this grouped discourse.
“Cakkhu, bhikkhave, anattā atītaṁ anāgataṁ paccuppannaṁ. Yadanattā, taṁ ‘netaṁ mama, nesohamasmi, na meso attā’ti evametaṁ yathābhūtaṁ sammappaññāya daṭṭhabbaṁ …pe… jivhā anattā …pe… mano anattā atīto anāgato paccuppanno. Yadanattā taṁ ‘netaṁ mama, nesohamasmi, na meso attā’ti evametaṁ yathābhūtaṁ sammappaññāya daṭṭhabbaṁ.
Evaṁ passaṁ …pe… nāparaṁ itthattāyāti pajānātī”ti.
