“Kesaṁ divā ca ratto ca,
“Whose merit always grows
sadā puññaṁ pavaḍḍhati;
by day and by night?
Dhammaṭṭhā sīlasampannā,
What people—firm in principle, accomplished in conduct—
ke janā saggagāmino”ti.
are going to heaven?”
“Ārāmaropā vanaropā,
“Planters of parks or groves,

and those who give monastic quarters.
Tesaṁ divā ca ratto ca,
Their merit always grows
sadā puññaṁ pavaḍḍhati;
by day and by night.
Dhammaṭṭhā sīlasampannā,
Those people—firm in principle, accomplished in conduct—
