Discourses
The wanderer Uttiya asks the Buddha about ten speculative views, from the eternity of the cosmos to the destiny of the Realized One after death, all of which the Buddha declares undeclared; he instead teaches how the world is saved—giving up the five hindrances, establishing mindfulness, and developing the seven awakening factors—illustrated with the simile of a citadel with a single gate.
