Venerable Tissaperson

The Buddha counsels his cousin Tissa, who weeps because mendicants jeer at him, teaching that one who admonishes others must also accept admonition—and that the spiritual life is lived to remove anger, conceit, and denigration.

The Buddha teaches on with tissa, applying the analysis of the five aggregates—form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness—to insight and release.
