The Buddha describes the four individuals—one who lives off the fruit of initiative, but not deeds;, one who lives off the fruit of deeds, but not initiative;, and one who lives off the fruit of both deeds and initiative;.
“Cattārome, bhikkhave, puggalā santo saṁvijjamānā lokasmiṁ. Katame cattāro?
Uṭṭhānaphalūpajīvī na kammaphalūpajīvī,
kammaphalūpajīvī na uṭṭhānaphalūpajīvī,
uṭṭhānaphalūpajīvī ceva kammaphalūpajīvī ca,
neva uṭṭhānaphalūpajīvī na kammaphalūpajīvī—
Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro puggalā santo saṁvijjamānā lokasmin”ti.

one who lives off the fruit of neither initiative nor deeds.
